Tuition Assistance

Marylhurst Early Childhood Center provides several avenues for qualifying families to receive assitance with tuition and fees.  MECC does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national or ethnic origin when awarding financial assistance.

Skelding Scholarship

MECC holds the James and Sally Skelding Memorial Scholarship, which honors a previous Director, Sally Skelding, and the memory of her late husband, James. This fund provides a limited amount of direct tuition assistance to qualifying families. Families must complete the application through the TADS organization at www.TADS.com. Hard copy applications are available in the office. Scholarships are funded, in large part, by fundraising activities.

Work-Based Assistance

In addition to the Skelding Scholarships, MECC offers a limited amount of work-based tuition assistance, which is assigned by the director. Families are offered tuition assistance in return for performing jobs such as office assistance, room clean up, laundry, substitution for ill teachers, or other jobs that would support the MECC program.

Head Start

MECC accepts children from the Clackamas County Head Start program into our afternoon dual-language class.  Please contact the office for further information:  linda@marylhurstecc.com  or  (503) 650-0978.
