Ice Cream Social – Thursday, September 16 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Meet us in the meadow for ice cream and greeting new friends and old. Feel free to bring your dinner and a picnic blanket. The “meadow” is down the hill from the parking lot, north of the building.
Back to School Night – Thursday, October 7 7:00pm – 8:00pm
All parents and students are invited to come tour their children’s classrooms, talk with the teachers, and learn more about the curriculum and individual class plans for the year. Please arrive at 7:00 as the teachers will lead an initial discussion in each classroom.
Open House – Two Open House sessions are scheduled:
- Saturday, October 23 9:00 am – Noon
- Thursday, January 20, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
All friends and families interested in learning more about MECC, our classes and programs are invited to visit during our Open House. Tour the school, the grounds, meet the director and staff, and see our wonderful child-centered environment. This is a great time to bring a family you know to show off our school!
Winter Celebration – December 17, (time to be announced)
Each class will be opened so that parents may come with their children and together create a gift, enjoy a treat in each class, and watch the puppet show. More details to be announced.
Kindergarten Round-Up - Thursday, February 3 (time to be announced)
Marylhurst will host a Kindergarten Round-Up on Thursday, February 3rd. Please spread the word to friends and families whom you think might be interested in visiting our fabulous Kindergarten class. This event will include a tour of the classroom and a Q&A with Teacher Mary.
Spring MECC Family Picnic - May 26th

Last day of School Picnic – Wednesday, June 15th, 5:30 PM
Families are invited to a picnic on the school grounds, to play and enjoy each other one last time before summer vacation. Bring a lunch, picnic blanket, and a camera!
