Facility
Located in Oregon City in the historic Barclay School Building, MECC has the feel of a traditional elementary school. Walk through our doors and you’ll find the excitement and activity of many classes, artwork proudly displayed, children coming and going from the playground, parents greeting each other under the classroom flags lining the halls.

Upstairs are five classrooms for older students, the office, and a dance studio currently used for ballet classes. There is also a full-sized auditorium, the Barclay Theater, available for school use as well as community productions.
Each classroom has a full wall of windows and a wonderful loft area, which adds interest and private spaces to read or create.
Downstairs are two very large classrooms for the youngest children, including the Two’s class room, which incorporates play space and parent discussion area. Also downstairs is our newly remodeled kitchen, with plenty of room for class cooking projects. For rainy day play, there is a spacious play gym as well.
Marylhurst ECC also has a huge playground, with lots of hands-on opportunities to have fun and use those rain boots! Kids can build, dig, jump, run, ride, climb, and swing to their hearts content.
